The Power of Positivity with Sheila O. on cover

This month, I’m taking a moment to celebrate the incredible journey of Where It Begins magazine, a project that has been close to my heart for the past six years. When I first started this magazine, my vision was simple yet profound: to create a space where people could share their stories and journeys with the world. I’ve always believed that everyone has a testimony—a unique and powerful story worth sharing. Over the years, this belief has shaped each issue, filling the pages with narratives of resilience, creativity, and inspiration.

Our 16th issue is particularly special, featuring the dynamic Sheila O on the cover. Sheila dives deep into the world of Afrobeats, a genre that has taken the global music scene by storm. Her insights offer a fascinating look at the culture, the rhythm, and the movement that Afrobeats represents. Sheila’s story is one of passion and dedication, and it’s a true testament to how music can transcend boundaries and bring people together.

But that’s just the beginning. This issue also shines a spotlight on our Models of the Month, each of whom embodies the power of positivity. These individuals are not just beautiful faces—they are symbols of strength, confidence, and the impact of a positive mindset. Their stories remind us that with the right attitude, we can overcome challenges and achieve greatness.

The theme of this issue, “The Power of Positivity,” is a message I’m passionate about sharing. In a world that often focuses on the negative, it’s important to remember the incredible things that can happen when we embrace positivity. Whether it’s in our personal lives, our careers, or our communities, a positive outlook can be transformative.

I’m incredibly proud of how this issue has come together, and I’m thrilled to share it with you. As you flip through the pages, I hope you’re inspired by the stories, motivated by the messages, and reminded of the power within your own journey. Make sure to check out this issue of Where It Begins—it’s one you won’t want to miss!

Fredia Gibbs on Cover of Where it Begins

This month, I’m thrilled to reflect on the journey of Where It Begins magazine and share all the incredible issues we’ve created over the past six years. When I launched this magazine, it was with a simple yet profound mission: to provide a platform for people to share their stories and journeys. My belief that everyone has a testimony worth telling has been the heartbeat of this publication, and it continues to inspire every issue we produce.

One issue that stands out in our collection is the 14th edition, which features the powerhouse Fredia Gibbs on the cover. Known as the “most dangerous woman in the world,” Fredia is a three-time kickboxing world champion who has shattered barriers and defied expectations in a male-dominated sport. Her story is one of strength, resilience, and unyielding determination—a perfect embodiment of the spirit we celebrate in this magazine.

This issue is not just about Fredia’s incredible journey; it also pays tribute to the women of the future. We shine a light on the trailblazers who are leading the way, standing strong, and educating the next generation. It’s a celebration of empowerment and a reminder that the future is indeed female.

I had the distinct honor of meeting Fredia Gibbs at an event in Atlanta, and let me tell you, she is every bit as inspiring in person as she is on the page. Her presence exudes confidence and courage, and her story serves as a powerful reminder of what it means to fight for your dreams, no matter the odds. I’m so proud to feature her in this issue and to share her story with our readers.

If you haven’t already, I encourage you to check out this issue of Where It Begins. It’s filled with stories of women who are making a difference, breaking boundaries, and paving the way for others. And, of course, don’t miss the feature on Fredia Gibbs—a true testament to the power of perseverance and the impact one woman can have on the world.

Tribute to Auti Angel

This month, I’m taking a moment to reflect and share all the magazines I’ve created over the past six years with Where It Begins magazine. This journey has been all about giving people a platform to share their stories, their struggles, and their triumphs. My motto, “Everyone has a testimony and story to share,” has been at the heart of each issue.

The 13th issue is particularly close to my heart, featuring the incredible Auti Angel on the cover. This issue holds a special place in my soul because Auti truly was an angel, and I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to interview her before she passed away.

Auti’s spirit was nothing short of inspiring. Even from her wheelchair, she lit up the world with her passion for dance, proving that nothing could hold her back from enjoying life to the fullest. She was a beacon of hope, showing others that challenges are meant to be overcome with grace and joy. Her kindness and strength touched so many lives, including mine, and I will always treasure the moments I spent with her.

This issue is not just a magazine; it’s a tribute to a remarkable woman who left an indelible mark on the world. I invite you to check it out and experience the light that Auti Angel brought into the lives of everyone she met. She may be gone, but her legacy of courage and joy will continue to inspire.

All Geared Up issue with Jeremy Mincey on Cover

This month, I’m thrilled to spotlight all the magazines I’ve created over the years. Where It Begins magazine started six years ago, driven by my passion for sharing people’s stories and journeys. My motto? “Everyone has a testimony and story to share.”

One of the most special issues to me is the 11th edition, featuring Jeremy Mincey on the cover. This cover holds a special place in my heart because I’ve known Jeremy and his family from back when I lived in Statesboro, GA. Seeing someone you know personally achieve such greatness is always inspiring, but it’s even more meaningful when they play for your favorite team! Jeremy played football for the Dallas Cowboys, my all-time favorite team, so having him on the cover, geared up in his Cowboys uniform, was a dream come true.

This issue was my “All Geared Up” sports edition, a true celebration of athletes and their journeys. As a huge sports fan, curating this edition was pure joy. From football to other sports, it’s packed with stories that highlight determination, passion, and the love of the game.

If you’re a sports lover like me, or if you just want to dive into the inspiring journey of a talented athlete, make sure to check out this issue. It’s one of those projects that made me proud, not just as an editor, but as a fan and a friend.

Where it Begins issue 10 with Layzie Bone on Cover

This month, I’m excited to take a walk down memory lane and highlight the journey of Where It Begins magazine. Six years ago, I launched this platform with a simple yet powerful mission: to share the untold stories and testimonies of people from all walks of life. The 10th issue is one that holds a special place in my heart. It features none other than Layzie Bone on the cover, a name that brings back so many memories from my school days. Layzie Bone is an iconic member of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, a group whose music shaped a generation. I remember the excitement of hearing their tracks on the radio, and how their lyrics spoke to so many of us. Having the opportunity to feature Layzie Bone was a surreal experience.

In this issue, Layzie Bone shares not just about his latest single, but also his journey through the highs and lows of the music industry. He talks about what it’s like to be part of a group that’s left such a lasting legacy, and how he continues to evolve as an artist. His story is a testament to perseverance, passion, and the power of staying true to oneself.

But this issue is about more than just nostalgia. It’s about celebrating the ongoing journey of a legend who continues to make his mark on the world. I invite you to dive into this article, explore Layzie Bone’s insights, and reconnect with the music that defined an era. It’s incredible to see how this belief has brought together so many unique voices, each contributing to the rich tapestry of our magazine.

Our 8th issue is particularly special—it’s dedicated to the remarkable women in PR who work tirelessly behind the scenes. Public relations is a field that often goes unnoticed, yet it plays a crucial role in shaping narratives and building bridges. This issue shines a spotlight on the women who have mastered this craft, sharing their stories of resilience, creativity, and determination.

The inspiration for this issue came from a vibrant Facebook group called “Women in PR.” It’s a space where publicists from all over come together to network, share information, and support each other. Being part of this community has been incredibly enriching, and it was only fitting to dedicate an entire issue to these amazing women. Through their stories, we delve into the challenges and triumphs of working in PR, offering readers a glimpse into a world that’s as dynamic as it is demanding.
