2024 has been a whirlwind—a year of growth, challenges, and unforgettable moments. Each magazine issue this year has carried its own unique theme and purpose, from highlighting rising stars to shedding light on topics that matter deeply to me. A Journey of 6 Years: Celebrating the 36th Issue of Where It Begins

What started as a simple idea six years ago has blossomed into something extraordinary. Where It Begins magazine has become more than just a publication—it’s a platform for voices, stories, and journeys that deserve to be shared. Six years ago, I embarked on this adventure to create a space where everyone’s testimony could shine, a place where every individual could see their story as valuable and inspiring. Today, as I hold the 36th issue in my hands, I’m filled with gratitude and awe at how far this journey has taken me.

This milestone issue features the remarkable Chrissy Shorter-Arnold on the cover—a powerhouse of talent, resilience, and inspiration. Chrissy embodies everything Where It Begins stands for: the courage to dream, the strength to pursue it, and the grace to inspire others along the way. Her story is not just a testament to her achievements but a beacon for those navigating their own journeys.

Inside this issue, we also spotlight an incredible array of talents—artists, creators, and visionaries who are shaping their industries and the world. Each feature is a reminder of why I began this magazine: to highlight the dreamers, the doers, and the believers who inspire us to aim higher and dream bigger.

Reflecting on these six years, I’m reminded of the countless interviews, the unforgettable covers, and the beautiful connections made along the way. Every issue represents hours of brainstorming, creating, and curating, but most importantly, it represents the lives and stories that make this magazine special. From the first issue to the 36th, Where It Begins has been a labor of love—a passion project that continues to evolve and grow.

This journey has not been mine alone. It’s been enriched by the readers who flip through these pages, the contributors who pour their hearts into their work, and the cover stars who trust me to share their stories authentically. Together, we’ve built something truly magical.

Here’s to six years of storytelling and 36 incredible issues. Here’s to every person who has graced these pages and every reader who has been inspired by them. Most importantly, here’s to the future—because this is just the beginning.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Let’s continue to celebrate, inspire, and share where it all begins.

All Geared Up issue with Jeremy Mincey on Cover

This month, I’m thrilled to spotlight all the magazines I’ve created over the years. Where It Begins magazine started six years ago, driven by my passion for sharing people’s stories and journeys. My motto? “Everyone has a testimony and story to share.”

One of the most special issues to me is the 11th edition, featuring Jeremy Mincey on the cover. This cover holds a special place in my heart because I’ve known Jeremy and his family from back when I lived in Statesboro, GA. Seeing someone you know personally achieve such greatness is always inspiring, but it’s even more meaningful when they play for your favorite team! Jeremy played football for the Dallas Cowboys, my all-time favorite team, so having him on the cover, geared up in his Cowboys uniform, was a dream come true.

This issue was my “All Geared Up” sports edition, a true celebration of athletes and their journeys. As a huge sports fan, curating this edition was pure joy. From football to other sports, it’s packed with stories that highlight determination, passion, and the love of the game.

If you’re a sports lover like me, or if you just want to dive into the inspiring journey of a talented athlete, make sure to check out this issue. It’s one of those projects that made me proud, not just as an editor, but as a fan and a friend.
